Update: Nadim's Delights has permanently closed.

Nadim's Delights is a western food stall located inside a coffeeshop at Blk 508 Jurong West Street 52, not far from Blk 505 Market & Food Centre.

Apart from the usual black pepper steak, fish & chips, chicken chop, chicken cutlet and spring chicken, the stall is getting popular for their burger banjir which is going viral on social media lately.

So what exactly is a burger banjir?

Banjir actually means "flood" therefore, burger banjir means "flooded burger".

Flooded by what? If you cannot tell from the photo above, it's cheese of course!

The burger banjir is basically a double-patty chicken burger with coleslaw and a slice of cheese sandwiched between two lightly toasted buns. Molten nacho cheese sauce is then poured over the assembled burger, thereby earning it the name flooded burger.

I ordered the burger as a set which come with a generous portion of fries and baked beans. I have a habit when it comes to eating western food and that is, I always start with the sides followed by the main course.

By the time I am done with the sides, there is hardly any room left for the burger.

So, how do I find the burger?

Honestly, I thought that the bun would be soggy since it is soaked in molten cheese sauce but surprisingly, it's not. The burger is able to hold its shape quite well as I cut through it with the serrated plastic knife.

Judging by the cross-section of the chicken patty, it did not look like the breaded kind; it reminded me of the chicken nuggets from McDonald's except it is in patty form. If you like McNuggets, this should please you.

Directly underneath the top bun lies a bed of coleslaw which I absolutely adore. I think it is a wise move as it minimizes the jelat-ness from the two patties and perhaps the cheese sauce as well.

It helps that the cheese sauce is not too salty and there is no overwhelming cheesy smell. I wished there is more of the cheese sauce though as it is not flooded enough for me!

The burger banjir set is reasonably priced at $7.50 so it will not burn a hole in your pocket however, the fries and baked beans are quite run-of-the-mill so I suggest to get the burger ala carte at $4.50 or $3 (single patty) to save yourself some calories.

Nadim's Delights is located inside this Muslim-owned coffeeshop called Ayza's Restaurant. Do take note that even thought the stall is opened at 12 noon, they will only be taking orders for the burger banjir from 1pm onward.
